Birding Walk at Memorial Lake State Park

Bird lovers in Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, are in for a treat as Memorial Lake State Park Complex – PA DCNR is hosting a bird walk on May 4th, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. The event is open to the public and welcomes anyone, whether they are new to birding or advanced.

Participants can join the park naturalist for a morning bird walk around Memorial Lake to observe the different species of feathered friends that reside in the park or are passing through. The park will provide binoculars and field guides, but bird enthusiasts can also bring their own equipment. The walk will begin near the Middle Lot pavilion and is expected to last for an hour and a half.

It’s always more fun to bird with friends, so the event invites people from all walks of life to join and enjoy the park’s natural beauty. The event is subject to change due to weather or staffing shortages. Participants are advised to check the DCNR Calendar of events or Facebook page for cancellations or changes to the program. Severe weather such as snow, ice, storms, or heavy rains can cancel most programs.

Memorial Lake State Park is known for its picturesque landscapes and the diverse range of wildlife that call it home. Birding enthusiasts can look forward to spotting some of the 200 bird species that have been recorded in the park, including the American Goldfinch, Eastern Bluebird, and American Bald Eagle, among others.

The event promises to be an exciting opportunity for bird enthusiasts to learn more about the park’s feathered friends and connect with like-minded people. All participants are advised to dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for walking on the trails.

Despite his success as a writer, Jacob also owns another business, JJ Auto & Home, which specializes in cleaning. Jacob's commitment to excellence is evident in all of his endeavors, whether it be in his writing or in his business ventures. Today, Jacob is the author of two books and continues to inspire others through his writing. His journey to becoming a writer serves as a reminder that sometimes our darkest moments can lead us to our greatest achievements.
