The Vikings Youth Track Club is a program that is open to all kids in 1st through 6th grade. A new season is about to begin in the beginning of April. Students will train for events that include jumping, throwing, and running. The students compete in just two track meets at the end of the season. One of the meets is a fun meet against the Annville-Cleona Elementary track program on May 17th. On May 23rd the track club will have a meet to compete against other students at their level within the program. These students will be awarded medals and ribbons to show their accomplishments.
Head Coach Brian Campbell is a Math teacher at Northern Lebanon Middle School and has coached the kids for the last few years. Coach Campbell has several volunteers who work alongside him to give these kids lessons for success as an athlete. The coaches are dedicated to providing these athletes with proper training in Track & Field fundamentals, while maintaining a fun and competitive atmosphere. The program needs volunteers to assist in many ways and they are always looking for help. All volunteers need to have the same child protection clearances required by the school district on file to volunteer.
This program has a very low cost registration fee to students which is made possible through sponsorships. Sponsors allow costs to remain low to students which means more kids can participate. The Vikings Youth Track Club is currently seeking sponsorships for the 2023 season. If you are interested in learning more about sponsorships please email vikingsyouthtrackclub@gmail.com.
