By Jake Keiter

A New Chick-fil-A Arrival

Excitement fills the air as a brand new Chick-fil-A restaurant gets ready to open its doors next week in Dauphin County. Nestled at 5051 Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township, this Chick-fil-A marks the 15th addition to the central Pennsylvania region and is scheduled to launch at 6 a.m. on September 7.

A Unique Dining Experience

This compact Chick-fil-A offers a distinctive dining experience with three convenient drive-thru lanes and outdoor seating that includes a walk-up window. While it boasts a welcoming outdoor atmosphere, please note that it does not include indoor dining, aligning with Chick-fil-A’s tradition of quick and efficient service.

Community-Centric Grand Opening

As part of the grand opening celebrations, Chick-fil-A is making a significant community contribution. The restaurant plans to donate a generous $25,000 to Feeding America, with these funds being directed to local partners in the region, furthering the fight against hunger. In a heartwarming gesture, Chick-fil-A will also acknowledge 100 “local heroes” who are making a positive impact in the area by granting them free Chick-fil-A entrees for a full year.

Franchise Owner’s Vision

Stephanie Kapetakanos, the franchise owner of this new Chick-fil-A location, brings a wealth of experience from the restaurant industry. Hailing from Wilmington, Delaware, she has worked at national chains and her family’s pizzeria. Her vision for this restaurant goes beyond serving delicious food; she aims to make a profound difference in the lives of her team members.

“My goal is to assist in the development of future leaders and positively impact their lives,” Kapetakanos stated in a press release. “I aim to instill in my team members the belief that, through hard work, anything is achievable. Hard work is never easy, but working hard is so rewarding.”

Addressing Food Insecurity

Moreover, this Chick-fil-A restaurant is committed to community engagement and addressing food insecurity. It will actively participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which redirects surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks, and nonprofits in need.

Expanding Chick-fil-A’s Regional Presence

This Dauphin County opening is part of a broader trend, with several other Chick-fil-A restaurants either opening or under development in the region. Notable among these projects is a restaurant under development in Susquehanna Township, featuring a spacious 62-seat dining room and a convenient drive-thru. Another exciting addition is on the horizon in Cumberland County at the Mills at Shepherdstown Crossing, a mixed-use development under construction at Gettysburg Pike and Route 114.

Operating Hours and Menu Delights

The new Chick-fil-A in Dauphin County will have convenient operating hours, serving customers from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and extending to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. For those eager to explore the restaurant’s latest offerings, don’t miss the chance to sample Chick-fil-A’s newest menu items, including the delectable Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich and the irresistible Caramel Crumble milkshake.
