Jonestown, PA – The Jonestown Fish & Game Association is proud to celebrate its 110th anniversary this year. Established in 1913, the club has a rich history of supporting the local community through various activities such as stocking fish and rabbits, and hosting events at different local venues like churches and parks.
In 1959, a house fire on the current club property led to the purchase of the property by the club. The venue, now a hub for community events, has hosted everything from wedding receptions to family reunions. The club is proud to be the oldest sportsman club in the county and is actively growing, with a current membership of 370.
In recognition of its commitment to supporting the community, the club offers free membership to active-duty military personnel. As other clubs in the area may be struggling, the Jonestown Fish & Game Association continues to thrive. This year, the club is planning a women’s safety course, a sportsmen flea market, and several block shoots.
The club is actively seeking new members and invites anyone interested to complete the membership process and get voted in. With about one active member for every 75-100 members, the Jonestown Fish & Game Association is committed to supporting the local community for many more years to come.
