Northern Lebanon High School’s Hosting Prom Color Run/Walk

The junior class of Northern Lebanon High School has organized a Prom Color Run/Walk event to raise funds for their prom, which is scheduled to take place in the spring of 2023. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, traditional fundraising methods have been limited, prompting the class officers to come up with a fun way to raise funds and involve the community.

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 1, 2023, with registration/check-in starting at 10am in front of the football stadium at Northern Lebanon High School. The Fun Run/Walk will start at approximately 11am, taking place along the mulch trail that surrounds the secondary school (high and middle school). The event is not timed and is done for fun, exercise, and to help pay for prom. Depending on the number of participants, staggered starting locations may be utilized.

General registration is $35.00, while children ages 5-11 or adults who are 65 and above can register for $30.00. Children under the age of 5 can participate for free with a participating adult. Participants who register by March 10 will receive a free NL Prom Color Run/Walk t-shirt. The community can register online at RunSignUp. Paper registration forms are also available for secondary students or those who decide to participate and want to register on the day of the race.

The event is expected to end at 3pm, with food and drink trucks on site. The community is invited to come out and support the junior class in their fundraising efforts.

The rise in food prices has made it difficult to keep the cost of prom affordable. While the class usually absorbs some of the cost of prom, they want to make sure there is money in their class account for their senior year. They hope that this color run will be a fun way to raise money and involve the community in their efforts.

The Northern Lebanon High School Prom Color Run/Walk promises to be a fun and exciting event for participants of all ages. Come out and show your support for the junior class as they strive to make their prom a memorable and affordable event.
