Diamond Presents 2023 Lebanon Farm Queen with House Citation

Chloe Bomgardner of Lebanon County was crowned the 2023 Pennsylvania Fair Queen at the 110th annual convention of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs and Pennsylvania State Showmen’s Association. The announcement was made by Rep. Russ Diamond (R-Lebanon) at the 2023 Cornocopia event in the Capitol Rotunda.

To celebrate her achievement, Rep. Diamond presented Ms. Bomgardner with a House citation. The citation recognizes her hard work, dedication, and commitment to the agricultural industry in Lebanon County. Diamond said that Bomgardner was evaluated by a panel of three judges on her written and speaking skills, knowledge of the fair and agricultural industries, and her poise and personal presentation in business attire.

“Ms. Bomgardner represents our area well, being an active member of the Northern Lebanon FFA Chapter, serving as vice president, and is also the current president of the NorLebCo 4-H Dairy Club,” Diamond said.

Chloe is the daughter of Corwin and Tara Bomgardner. She has always been passionate about agriculture and the Lebanon Area Fair, which has been a significant part of her life. She has assisted her family in raising Holstein show heifers, dairy beef, chickens, and market hogs, and has always enjoyed participating in the Lebanon Area Fair by showing her animals and volunteering in fair food stands.

Chloe’s love for agriculture has inspired her to pursue a degree in large animal science in college. Her achievement as the 2023 Pennsylvania Fair Queen is a testament to her dedication and hard work in the agricultural industry. Her future aspirations to pursue large animal science will undoubtedly lead to greater success and recognition in the future.

The presentation of the House citation to Ms. Bomgardner is a recognition of her outstanding performance and achievement, and it is hoped that her achievements will inspire other young people to take up the challenge of pursuing a career in agriculture. The agricultural industry is vital to the state’s economy, and recognition of young people like Chloe Bomgardner is essential in keeping the industry vibrant and productive.
