Vikings Softball Defeats Annville-Cleona 13-3

The Northern Lebanon Vikings defeated Annville-Cleona 13-3 in a high school softball game on Friday, April 14th. Although Annville-Cleona scored three runs in the third inning on a home run, Northern Lebanon was able to rally and come out on top.

The Vikings got off to a strong start in the first inning when Ritchie drew a walk, scoring one run. But it was in the fifth inning when NL really turned up the heat, scoring four runs. Hollenbach and Mauser led the team with singles that inning, contributing to the team’s overall success.

Mauser, the pitcher, played a huge role in NL’s win. She allowed only three hits and three runs over six innings, striking out an impressive 15 batters. Her pitching was instrumental in shutting down Annville-Cleona’s offense and securing the victory for her team.

NL also had a strong performance at the plate, tallying 11 hits in the game. Shutter, Mauser, and Kubica each managed multiple hits for NL. Mauser and Shutter were particularly impressive, collecting three hits apiece.

Overall, it was a dominant performance from the Northern Lebanon Vikings. Their offense was firing on all cylinders, and Mauser’s pitching was virtually untouchable. The win improves their record to 6-1 on the season, and they will look to build on this success in their next game.
